Guest card

At the end of the course a guest card is available, which allows for a free bus ride from Beatenberg-Waldegg to Interlaken.

By train/bus

Trains from Germany, Basel, Bern Luzern, Zürich, (Zürich Airport), Bern to Interlaken-West. In Interlaken-West change to direct bus no. 101 for Beatenberg, at 4.05, 5.05, 6.05 pm (sometimes 3.05 pm, see confirmation letter).It’s an 18-minute bus ride from Interlaken-West up to the «Waldegg (Beatenberg) Hohwald” bus stop. Please note the regular pick up times.

At the “Waldegg (Beatenberg) Hohwald” bus stop the center has a luggage pick up service operating at regular retreat beginning times (only). See pick up times. At other times, on foot 50 meters back on the main road, then turn up the road following the sign ‘Meditationzentrum’. After 300 meters turn left again.
You may also take the trail straight up from the bus stop and walk on the hiking path up to the house (both ways 15 minutes).
Pick up times at the Waldegg bus stop on course beginning days at 4.23 pm, 5.23 pm and 6.23 pm only (sometimes 3.23 pm, see confirmation letter).
At the beginning of Friday night to Sunday weekend retreats additional pick up time at the Waldegg bus stop at 7.16 pm on request.

By car

Address for your route guidance system: Moos 820a (new: Amisbuehlstr. 51) 3803 Beatenberg. On the Autobahn/Autostrasse from Bern/Thun or from Luzern/Meiringen take the exit «Unterseen» near Interlaken, then follow signs to «Beatenberg» for about 12 km. Upon entering the town of Beatenberg (just before passing the Hotel Waldegg Regina) turn right following the sign ‘Meditationszentrum’ After 300 meters turn left, following all the way to the center.
In winter snow tires are mandatory. In case of snow, 4-wheel-drive or snow chains are necessary.

Parking: There is a public car park directly above the center. The parking fee is CHF 7.-/ day for a maximum of one week. This can be paid using CHF coins (please bring the appropriate change), TWINT or one of the EasyPark / Parkingpay apps. Alternatively, there is a municipal car park as one enters Beatenberg village, just below and opposite Hotel Restaurant Regina. The parking fee here is CHF 7.-/ day or CHF 25.- per week. This can also be paid using CHF coins (please bring the appropriate change), TWINT or one of the EasyPark / Parkingpay apps.

Travel tips

In the summer season the stretch between Thun and Interlaken can also be done by boat. The railway ticket is valid for the boat (with an additional fee).
